A relaxed dog is a happy dog - especially in a world that can feel overwhelming at times. Helping dogs become confident and comfortable takes consistent training, mutual understanding, and practical life skills. Every dog will face situations that feel scary or confusing. And let’s be honest - there are also behaviors that we may find frustrating or hard to understand. That’s where compassionate, reward-based training comes in. Together, we can help your dog thrive. Adolescence can be especially challenging. One day your pup is sweet and focused, the next they seem to have entered “raptor mode” and forgotten everything they knew! This is totally normal. It’s also a key moment to build strong communication, practice patience, and support your dog’s development. If things didn’t go perfectly in puppyhood, that’s okay. Adult dogs can absolutely learn new things! In fact, ongoing learning helps keep their brain sharp and engaged. It might take a little longer than with a younger dog - but it’s never too late to build better behavior or learn new skills. What we can work on together: • Socialization and confidence-building • Taking your dog to public places (e.g., restaurants, stores) • Household manners (e.g., calm greetings, door behavior) • Loose leash walking • Recall skills • Cues like “leave it,” “take it,” “hand touch,” and “follow” • Fun enrichment games: tricks, fetch, mini scent hunts • Strengthening dog-human communication • Preparing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test • Understanding how much is too much (training vs. rest) • Addressing specific challenges or questions as they arise Session Details: • All training is reward-based and fun for both dog and human • Some session parts may be recorded for your personal reference • Sessions are 45–60 minutes based on your dog’s focus and energy • We may train in other locations as needed to support learning Please note: All new clients are required to complete a one-time Virtual Intake & Orientation Session before booking training services. This ensures we start with a clear plan tailored to you and your dog.
