SUPPORT FOR RESCUE DOGS

Welcoming a rescue dog into your life is a special and deeply meaningful experience - but it can also come with uncertainty. Whether you’ve just brought your dog home or are preparing to adopt, those first days and weeks matter. Rescue dogs need time to decompress, learn about their new world, and build trust. The way you guide them during this adjustment phase can make all the difference in how they settle into your life - and how your relationship blossoms long-term.

This service is specifically designed for people who are either about to bring home a rescue dog, or who have adopted within the last two weeks. Together, we’ll focus on making the transition smooth, calm, and positive - for both ends of the leash.

In three structured, reward-based sessions, we’ll look at early behavior patterns, help your dog find a sense of safety, and give you tools to reduce overwhelm and build lasting connection. You’ll learn how to support your dog’s emotional needs while building clarity and consistency that sets the stage for future training and deeper partnership.

This is not a full behavior program - it’s a foundational support plan that helps you settle in, make thoughtful choices, and avoid common challenges before they arise. Rescue dogs often need time, not pressure. You’ll walk away feeling more confident, informed, and better connected to your new companion.

This service includes:

  • A 3-session private training package, valid for 3 months from the date of adoption

  • Guidance for decompressing, setting structure, and building trust

  • Support for handling early signs of stress, fear, or confusion

  • Advice tailored to your dog’s unique history, breed traits, and current behavior

  • Gentle support for relationship-building, not rigid rules
